DRESS DELIGHT

Brides, hold on to your veils! After months of rumours, we’re delighted to confirm that Pronovias, the Spanish bridal fashion brand, is definitely launching in South Africa! The company – which already operates in 75 countries worldwide – is planning to enter the market in grand style with a 1000m² flagship store in the chic Michelangelo Towers in Sandton, Johannesburg. All things going according to plan, doors will open in April – which means brides getting married later this year or in 2013 will soon have even greater access to gorgeous, ready-made wedding gowns!

The massive shop will carry the entire Pronovias 2012 bridal collection, as well as samples of 2013 creations as they become available. In addition, the store will feature the Pronovias 2012 Cocktail Collection: a glamorous, sexy range of evening dresses that are ideal for bridesmaids and special events such as engagement parties and matric dances.

Naturally though it’s the wedding gowns that have us most excited… Under the guidance of Pronovias’ Creative Director Manuel Mota, the latest collection is truly swoon-worthy; a feast of feminine style and sophistication. You can expect to find classic silhouettes such as A-line and mermaid gowns, soft flowing fabrics including chiffon and lace, romantic embellishments, delicate detailing and on-trend elements such as invisible necklines. Accessories will include gorgeous veils, shoes and clutch bags.

The majority of the Pronovias wedding gowns are expected to retail for between R9 000 and R20 000, while the top-end designer creations, including those by Elie Saab, will likely cost from R70 000 upwards.

We can’t wait! For more information, visit www.pronovias.com or watch this space!
