FLOWER POWER
Inspired by the spring/summer runway collections, we love the idea of adding fashionable florals to your wedding scheme, whether you go for full-blown romanticism or simply add a few frivolous bursts. Choose floral-print bridesmaids’ frocks in soft flowing fabrics such as chiffon, linen or silk, or wear a cheeky pair of heels for instant wow factor, as pictured here. This fresh-as-a-flower look can also be incorporated into your wedding décor – think vivacious floral tablecloths, festive floral bunting in pretty pastel hues or fun floral napkins to offset an all-white table setting. While florals are perfect for spring and summer weddings, they should be avoided in the chillier months.
Stylist’s tip: Avoid large floral prints as they tend to make petite figures appear shorter and larger figures rounder. Go for discreet, subdued prints that are simple yet elegant in style and colour – you don’t want your bridesmaids to look as if they’re wearing a floral curtain!
